We want extend our sincere thanks to every member of our BID Milton team for their dedication during the recent blizzard! ❄️⛄

Despite challenging travel, longer shifts, and rapidly changing conditions, our hospital remained open and fully operational — with our teams focused on what matters most: our patients. Care continued safely and effectively through the storm and its aftermath because of your professionalism, teamwork, and resilience.

We also want to recognize our Facilities and Security teams, who are working tirelessly to clear snow and maintain safe access to campus. Thank you to everyone for your patience and cooperation as this work continues throughout the week.

We are incredibly grateful for this remarkable team. 💙

In observance of National Nurses Day (Tuesday, May 6), the Boston Globe's “Salute to Nurses” honors and celebrates the invaluable contributions of nursing professionals, acknowledging their unwavering dedication and compassionate care.

Building for the future of emergency care in Milton! 🚧✨

On February 4, hospital leaders, community members, local officials, and supporters gathered to celebrate the successful installation of all 20 prefabricated modular units for the Emergency Department expansion—complete with tours of the new space.

This expansion will nearly double the number of ED beds, helping meet the growing needs of our community. Originally built to serve 26,000 patients a year, the BID Milton ED now cares for approximately 42,000 annually. The project also adds new observation spaces for patients requiring shorter stays and creates additional capacity for those needing higher-level care.

The expanded Emergency Department is slated to open later this year—strengthening access to timely, high-quality emergency care close to home. 💙
