This mixture got me through whatever cold, cough thing that has been going around and shortened my total illness time to about 5 days (it usually lasts for about 2 weeks). It might work different for you.
Also, be aware that I'm not a nutritionist, but I like sharing ancient wisdom that was passed from my mother and others that has worked well for me. Be sure to check with your provider before using any herbs that may counteract with medications.
Eyeball ratios:
I used a quart sized mason jar and filled it up about 3/4 of the way full.
A medium sized white onion
About 6-10 garlic cloves
Let it sit for 8-12 hours at room temp, optional to strain out the onion and can be kept in the refrigerator for 3 weeks or in the freezer for up to 3 months. Same goes to my ginger and turmeric portion.
I like to have the mixture even when I'm not battling a cold which is why I make a big batch at a time. However, you can definitely make a lot less.
