My darling scratched her eyeball with a contact lens- ouch! A visit to the optometrist got us some antiseptic eye drops- mama don't mess around when an infected eye is a possibility. A local/distal acupuncture treatment really helped with the redness and swelling. Did you know that spot on the hands (LI4) is the "command point of the face"? Note that she is smiling while having needles in her face.

Story time- When I was 14 I spent a whole summer in San Francisco. We didn't travel much when I was a kid so it was a very exotic place. We went to Chinatown a few times for the novelty of it. I remember seeing scenes similar to the photos below. Never in a million years would I have guessed that someday I would know what all that stuff is and know what to do with it.

Here I am last week in Chinatown NYC. I have come to admire and respect these herbs and formulas for being the rock stars they are. I am infinitely grateful to the Creator for giving me the curiosity and wherewithal to learn and share all of this.

I am really excited about a patient I am seeing. Humor me. She is in her late 60's and has pelvic floor weakness following a nasty fall. Symptoms are urinary urgency, frequency and a bit of incontinence. Also some prolapse. She has had some PT and been offered surgery. She thought she would give Acupuncture a try before resorting to surgery.
You already know what I am going to say.
After 4 treatments patient reports a drastic reduction in urinary symptoms and a 20% improvement of the prolapse. As a bonus, her lower back pain is improving.
I am lucky to be able to help out.
