I still haven't been able to go back to work because things have been so rough. However, I have created a small business called Candy Clouds Parties and Events, because I'm able to work on part time on weekends and at my own page. Please help support my little business; It's the one thing that keeps me going!

Come by this Sunday, March 12th, from 9am to 2pm at the County Line Hall Indoor Market in Union Grove, WI. We'll be geared up with our delicious hand spun cotton candy, along with our friend Lorrin from Lorrin's Epic Mealtime (Epicure). We hope to see you there!

Come join me for a St. Patty's Day party! As a new consultant, I'm proud to launch my new website that lists all meal prep meals, seasonings, dressings, desserts, and more. As a bonus I'm offering all meal prep packets for $5ea. or 3 packets for $12. I have a personal goal that I'd love to beat and any profits will help me get through my Kidney Transplant journey. 💚

Why is it so hard to get quality care in our country these days? I am physically and mentally exhausted from dialysis, and I also have to fight with the doctors to do what's best for me. I have had so many steps forward this week such as having 2 hospitals approving my Dad as a donor for me. Yay!!!!! 🥳 However there are always setbacks that hinder my celebration such as needing another emergency to replace my nonworking cather, which I had to fight with the doctor to order another surgery for a new catheter. Does anyone else experience this hardship with physicians? If so, what do you do to guarantee you'll get the best care possible?

Hi friends! As you all know, I am racing against time to find a kidney donor to save my life. I'm heading in to year 2 of dialysis and with my body not tolerating dialysis very well, I am desperate to find that one person who can save my life. If you know me at all, you know how much I loved life and valued every good day that I was given with my first kidney transplant. I don't care how many days I have left to live, as long as the days are of quality. This is such a huge deal to me! I ask all of you, my Facebook family, to please share my story. All I need is one person in this world to step up and be willing to donate. It could be a family member, a friend, a complete stranger. By getting the word out, one person just needs to see my previous post and hopefully decide that my life is worth saving.

Much love always! ❤️🙏

Please help me find my angel by sharing my story. 🙏

Please help me find my angel by sharing my story. 🙏

Please share this post to share my story. Even if you're not interested or able to donate, my guardian angel has to be out there somewhere.

My name is Melissa Paderta and I am in need of a kidney transplant to save my life. My goal with this post is to share my story and to share some information on how important organ donation is to many people who are also in need to save their lives. My story began when I was a child and suffered from many bladder and urinary tract infections. By the time I was 11, I started going into kidney failure and received my first transplant when I was just 21. My cousin, who is my angel in disguise, decided to step up to get tested to donate and was a perfect match. He gave me 20 more beautiful years of life, until COVID nearly took my life 2 years ago, but took the life of my new kidney. I am now on dialysis again 5 times a week and pretty much has had all of my freedom and joy from my life. I miss the old me. I was so full of life. I enjoyed working in the auto industry, traveling around the world, spending time with my 8 nieces and nephews who are my world, going to concerts and sports games, and just laughing and having a great time with my friends and family.

The average person can only survive on dialysis roughly 5 to 6 years on dialysis before death is our reality. Here in Wisconsin and in our surrounding states, the average wait time for a cadaver kidney transplant is anywhere from 6 to 10 years. By getting the word out about living organ donation, a transplant can occur as fast as 3 to 6 months, starting from the time one calls the transplant center and submits their information with the transplant coordinator. It is a fairly simple process to become a donor. After calling the transplant coordinator, they will send you a 5 minute online question about your health history. If everything looks okay, they will then proceed to schedule you for a time to meet with the coordinator and transplant team and to have all necessary testing and screenings done. This is done in one day and includes the basic tests such as x-ray, ultrasound, CT scan, and blood work to make sure you are currently health and to guarantee that you will remain completely healthy for the rest of your life with one kidney. They would never take an organ if it would pose a risk to your healthy. After the examination and testing, if all goes well, we will be able to schedule a surgery date. One can expect a 2 to 3 day hospital stay, with a recovery time of 2 to 6 weeks. After recovery, you will be able to continue to live your life normally without extra precautions or restrictions.

All medical and travel expenses for the transplantation are covered by my insurance.

I value my life so much and want to be able to continue living the life God gave me. My cousin gave me an extra 20 years of life with the gift he gave me, and I will be forever grateful for the chance to continue to live on with a new gift. I hear all the time from people, "I hope someday, someone will step up and donate." It's not just about donating, it's about saving someone's life.

If you're interested in getting more information about donation, please call Froedtert Hospital (414)805-6400 or Medical City Fort Worth (817)834-8500 and please tell them that you are interested in donating a kidney to Melissa Paderta.

Thank you so much and God bless! 💚🙏

I have completed my first week of a different, much gentler version of hemodialysis. My body wouldn't tolerate the standard treatments so I am very happy that this newer treatment is working much better for me. The bonus is is that I no longer get sick or pass out during each session and eventually I will be able to do this at home for 3 hours a day, 5 days a week.

I got the chance to spend a few hours at the Fort Worth Stockyards with my Dad before my first education class at the Medical City Fort Worth Transplant Institute. I have chosen to enroll in their transplant program as well to increase my chances of receiving my kidney transplant. 💚

I want to thank you for visiting my page for kidney donation. Whether you're a close friend, family member, or have seen my billboard, you all know how much organ donation means to me as I am in need of a second kidney transplant due to Covid.

For more information or if you have any questions, please contact me personally at 708-477-5490, melpaderta@gmail.com, or messanger Paderta.

I have enlisted at Froedtert Hospital Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI as a transplant recipient. All interested possible donors will partake in a phone survey and one day of routine testing such as Labs, EKG, Chest X-ray, and CT scan. Everything is non-evasive and is a fairly easy process. You will also have a chance to meet with the team of doctors, which have been absolutely wonderful to us. You may also call the hospital directly at 414-805-3666. My coordinator's name is Val.

Again, I truly appreciate you taking the time to read my story and hope you or someone you know is able to help save my life.
