I never planned for twins, but I was more than prepared for optimizing my health during pregnancy. A twin pregnancy put me at a higher risk for several complications, including preterm birth, gestational diabetes and hypertension to name a few. What I did right early on was get my labs done, start a prenatal, and be up to date with my OB/GYN before TTC. Many early risks can arise in the weeks before you even know you’re pregnant. That’s why being on DHA, methyl-folate and choline early on are so important for your baby’s development.

Reflecting on my journey, I realize that my wedding day was not just a celebration of love but a testament to personal growth and healing. It was the culmination of a transformative period where I learned to prioritize my well-being over the relentless pace of life I had previously embraced.

For years, I was in a constant state of go.
Busy, high-functioning, pushing through—
but completely disconnected from my body.

And eventually, it caught up to me.

The fatigue, the gut issues, the feeling of doing everything “right” but still not feeling like myself…

That season forced me to slow down and actually listen.

I didn’t just prepare for a wedding—
I started taking care of my mind, body and spirit preparing for pregnancy, and motherhood.

The glow I had on my wedding day wasn’t just makeup. It was my authentic joy, clear skin, good energy, healthy digestion, and restored hormone and adrenal health.

I like to run a more detailed set of labs to give you the full picture so you can feel your best self.

If you want to take that next step towards understanding your body better, comment “LABS” and I’ll share my go-to list of labs I run for chronic fatigue.

You’re not burnt out; you’ve adapted. Somewhere along the way, your body decided that being easygoing, high-achieving, and always prepared was the safest bet. I get it—I’ve been there myself, and I’m still figuring out how to unlearn it. These traits have taken me far: they got me through a doctorate, helped build my career, and kept me steady through chaos. But they’ve also had a price. I’ve ignored my body, pushed past its warnings, and eventually, it spoke up: fatigue, hormonal imbalances, gut issues, depression, and anxiety.

These signs are not because your body is failing you, but because it’s calling you back to yourself.

It all happens slowly–
The afternoon crashes.
The reliance on caffeine.
The feeling of never quite being “on.”

But fatigue isn’t a personality trait.

And it’s not something you’re meant to just accept.

Let’s talk about what’s actually going on.

Preparing your body for conception, pregnancy and becoming a mother–can feel like a lot to take in.

I’d focus on these 3 things first–ideally 1 year before trying to conceive, to give your body time to feel
supported, regulated, and truly ready in your body for when the time comes.

This journey can bring about of lot of unknowns, and is never linear, the more you are prepared the more you will be able to have a solid foundation for when the moment arises.

PCOS is not diagnosed from one lab value.
And it’s not confirmed from ultrasound alone.

It requires pattern recognition (evidence of androgen excess, ovulating dysfunction, and/or polycystic ovarian morphology).

But it is also a diagnosis of exclusion.

Too often women are diagnosed too quickly- or dismissed entirely.

And if you’re entering your next chapter - clarity matters.

You deserve precision before a life long label.

Save this if you’ve been told it’s “probably PCOS”

Let’s talk about mistakes I made early on…

Your internal state matters
&
Your nutrition matters probably more than you think

Blood Sugar, Hormones, and Acne: Why It’s All Connected

Read the full article on my website!

When patients come in for acne, bloating, irregular cycles, fatigue, or stubborn inflammation, they often assume they’re dealing with separate problems. In reality, these symptoms are usually part of the same system. Hormones, digestion, and skin are deeply interconnected — and understanding tha...

I thought happiness lived in a different city.

I thought it lived in clear skin too.

For a long time,
I carried acne on my face
and sadness in my body.

So I tried to outgrow it.
Out run it.
Out move it.

But healing didn’t happen when my zipcode changed
Or when my skin was perfect.

It happened when I let myself feel-
the grief,
the anger,
and fully see the metabolic and hormone imbalances below.

Your internal state matters.

Healing acne is rarely just topicals.
It’s metabolic.
It’s hormonal.
It’s related to your gut microbiome.

It’s all connected. This is why treating acne from the inside out changes everything.
