It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Joel Lashley, a longtime leader and trusted voice in crisis management and conflict resolution.
Joel’s work profoundly shaped how organizations, especially in healthcare, approach safety, dignity, and human-centered response. His influence extended far beyond curriculum or methodology; it lived in the conversations, decisions, and care practices he helped guide every day.
Those who worked alongside Joel knew him not only as a thought leader, but as a kind, thoughtful, and deeply principled human being. He cared deeply about people, about doing the right thing, and about helping others navigate difficult moments with compassion and clarity.
Joel will be greatly missed by his wife Amanda, his son Colin, his family, and the many colleagues, trainers, and clients whose lives he touched through his work and mentorship.
Our thoughts are with all who are grieving. We will continue to honor Joel’s legacy by carrying forward the values he stood for—dignity, safety, and service to others.
Rest in peace, Joel.
