Okay ppl, have you heard of 67? Yes it’s “six seven” and my kids aren’t allowed to say it in school, my nephew carved it on his pumpkin. But what the what? It’s Halloween week and maybe we can embrace the madness, give ourselves a little shoulder shrug, a little so-so mentality. Are you showing up? Good, 67. Are you laughing it off? Nice, 67. Meditation didn’t work this week? 67. You know me I’m all for the deep authentic chats and hardcore workouts but maybe sometimes we just need a little 67. Just another random deep thought over here, I am theming my yoga classes around this concept all week long. Thanks Skrilla and Gen Alpha. Namaste x1000.

Not sure who needs to hear it, but you’re doing a great job! Thanks for the meditation today. It so felt like coming home. And thank you for the wellness and friendship/mom communities I am so grateful to be a part of, I wish all of you peace in your mind and ease in your hearts. You are doing a great job and deserve to be content. Thank you universe for the great friends and incredible opportunities you present, the challenges and suffering too. Community and stillness are so important, sitting with it, not numbing it. Namaste, hope to see you on your mat, or hear about your practices. Namaste x1,000. Keep doing what you’re doing.

Full Sturgeon Moon

Join Senta on Saturday, August 9th from 7–8:45pm at Healium Hot Yoga-Bay View’s Cozy Studio for a Full Sturgeon Moon workshop. This full moon invites us to reflect with gratitude on the knowledge and growth we've cultivated over the summer and carry these insights into the fall season.

Rooted in the energy of the ancient sturgeon that symbolizie resilience, willpower, and adaptability, our gathering includes meditation, energizing and restorative movement, and time for reflection and intention-setting via a sankalpa/journaling/fire ceremony. Expect hands-on adjustments, mantra and pranayama too! We'll practice Moon Salutations, mudras reflecting element signs and energy shifts, and end with a deeply relaxing extended savasana, all by candlelight and soothing essential oils.

This unheated workshop is perfect for those looking to reconnect with what matters most to you. This moon impacts all zodiac signs; the energy is particularly potent for Leo (sun, fire sign) and Aquarius (moon, air sign). Others that might feel the energy shift of this full moon are; Ta**us (earth sign) and Scorpio (water sign).

So looking around my spaces I’ve been asking myself? Why am I holding on to these nasty old yoga mats?

They carry more than wear and tear, they hold the breathwork that calmed us, the sweat from breakthroughs, and maybe even a few tears. When I let go of a mat it can feel like letting go of a version of myself!

These mats held space for me when I needed a powerful workout and a silent cry in savasana. One held me through my recent 300hr YTT. My kids have played on these mats and one of them has been outside multiple times.

So what are you doing with your old mats? Some companies offer discounts when you send them your old mat for recycling. How else can we repurpose them? I hate to just toss them, but will admit I have. I’m also loving Manduka and Shakti Warrior mats, any other suggestions?
