Deep thoughts…
Just returned from a quick surprise visit to see my folks in Florida, the main thought from time spent there is, “Sometimes you are the windshield, sometimes you are the bug.” This is a lyric from Dire Strait’s 1991 song, “the Bug”. I just had to share; we can all resonate with how life can suddenly turn, no matter how confident or in control you might feel, everyone eventually gets bitten. No one is immune, and we gotta remember to be grateful for lessons learned past, present and future. That this too shall pass. The song is so good I hope you listen.

Let this nonsense early morning beach dancing while singing mantra be your reminder to keep moving and dancing through life. No matter what happens; dance how you want, move and be you. I’m inspired by all the birthday well wishes, thanks for inspiring me to post this….my 41st turn around this beautiful earth will include lots of dancing. I hope you join me. Namaste.

Nature is so amazing, are you still getting out there even in the colder temps, the snow, and the darker days? The sounds, the smells, the sights during this cold and snowy season can be beautiful if you’re looking for the light. This time of year can feel a little HEAVY, amiright? Need a little inspiration? Here are the affirmations I’ve been reciting all week long; hope they bring you home. Repeat aloud on a long exhale, or just read thru when you need some reassurance and warmth.

☺️Warmth radiates from within me; I am a source of energy and light.

🕊️I choose hope and optimism, even in the dark.

🫣I find beauty in the quiet snow and peaceful nights.

❄️I trust mother nature’s cycles of seasons of life.

🤗I can nourish my body with comfort and care as I finish this year.

Okay ppl, have you heard of 67? Yes it’s “six seven” and my kids aren’t allowed to say it in school, my nephew carved it on his pumpkin. But what the what? It’s Halloween week and maybe we can embrace the madness, give ourselves a little shoulder shrug, a little so-so mentality. Are you showing up? Good, 67. Are you laughing it off? Nice, 67. Meditation didn’t work this week? 67. You know me I’m all for the deep authentic chats and hardcore workouts but maybe sometimes we just need a little 67. Just another random deep thought over here, I am theming my yoga classes around this concept all week long. Thanks Skrilla and Gen Alpha. Namaste x1000.

Not sure who needs to hear it, but you’re doing a great job! Thanks for the meditation today. It so felt like coming home. And thank you for the wellness and friendship/mom communities I am so grateful to be a part of, I wish all of you peace in your mind and ease in your hearts. You are doing a great job and deserve to be content. Thank you universe for the great friends and incredible opportunities you present, the challenges and suffering too. Community and stillness are so important, sitting with it, not numbing it. Namaste, hope to see you on your mat, or hear about your practices. Namaste x1,000. Keep doing what you’re doing.
