Why Ready Rebound

Public safety workers put their bodies to the test every day. At Ready Rebound, we help first responders reduce risk of injury and illness by leveraging technology, data, support and education. When injuries do happen, we deliver access to elite and expedited care that shortens healing times and returns employees to work – and their lives – faster than ever.

March is National Athletic Trainer Month, and it’s a great opportunity to recognize the professionals who play such an important role in helping people recover, return to work, and stay at their best.

Athletic trainers are at the center of how we support our members through injury. Kaitlin Sonday, one of our Athletic Trainers and Navigators, brings 14 years of experience to every interaction.

Kaitlin and our Navigator team combine clinical expertise with a thoughtful, hands-on approach. From the first call, they help members understand their injury, guide next steps, and connect them to the right care so they can begin recovery without unnecessary delays.

To Kaitlin and all athletic trainers making a difference in people’s lives every day, thank you for the impact you have on recovery, confidence, and getting people back to the work they care about.

At Ready Rebound, athletic trainers play a critical role in supporting our members through injury recovery. One of those professionals is Dawn Lauer, an Athletic Trainer and Navigator on our team.

Our Navigators bring clinical expertise, compassion, and guidance to every recovery journey. They help our members triage injuries, navigate care, and connect with the right providers so recovery can start quickly.

To Dawn and every athletic trainer helping people recover and return to the work they love: thank you for the work you do every day.

For National Athletic Trainer Month, hear from one of our Navigators on why she became an athletic trainer and why supporting first responders means so much to her. With both of her parents serving as first responders, helping this community recover and return to duty is deeply personal.

Thank you to all of the athletic trainers on the Ready Rebound team for the care, expertise, and dedication you bring to the first responder community!

March is National Athletic Trainer Month, and we are celebrating in a big way at Ready Rebound.

To all of the athletic trainers on our team, thank you.

Your clinical expertise is at the heart of what we do. Your knowledge of musculoskeletal injuries allows us to triage injured essential workers quickly, guide them to the right level of care, and help prevent small issues from becoming long absences.

You bring a sports medicine mindset to public safety every day. That is care you can count on.

We are proud of the athletic trainers who power Ready Rebound, and we will be highlighting members of our team all month long, so stay tuned!

We’re proud to announce our partnership with the Greater Memphis Chamber, making Ready Rebound available to all Chamber members for the benefit of the essential workers who keep Memphis moving.

Named the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives 2025 Chamber of the Year, the Greater Memphis Chamber is setting the standard for workforce leadership and community impact.

This marks our first partnership of its kind, and an exciting step forward in expanding access to injury recovery support across the nation.

We’re honored to build alongside a community so deeply committed to strengthening Memphis’ workforce.

Our Customer Success Manager, Cindy Metcalf, had a great visit with the Scappoose Fire District. Huge thanks to Lieutenant Zach Ahlers for the tour and for introducing us to such a dedicated team.

After more than five years of partnership, we remain grateful for the trust they place in us and are excited to keep serving their firefighters and EMTs.

Last month we had the chance to bring together the majority of our team in our Milwaukee office to get aligned and sharpen our strategy around one shared focus for 2026: Elevate Experience.

We spent time aligning across teams on how we can continue to raise the bar for the experience we deliver to our members and partners. From how we show up, to how we communicate, to how we advocate every step of the recovery journey, the goal is simple: deliver an experience that feels thoughtful, seamless, and truly supportive when it matters most.

Just as important, we made time to connect outside of the office and build stronger relationships with our remote teammates. Elevating the experience starts internally, and it was a reminder that how we work together directly impacts how we serve others.

A special congratulations to Manny Lara, our Golden Shield Award winner. This award recognizes teammates who consistently live our values, and Manny exemplifies what it means to elevate the experience through how he shows up for our team.

Grateful for this group, proud of the culture we’re building, and energized to elevate the experience in 2026.

Kenneth Rolff, Fire Engineer Technician at CAL FIRE, shared what stood out most about his experience with Ready Rebound:

“The Ready Rebound team has been phenomenal. They’re so proactive and on top of everything. I’ll get a call the day before my appointment as a reminder, and then another after to check how it went. They’re always encouraging, positive, and genuinely care about how you’re doing. You can really feel that they want the best for you.”

For first responders, getting injured is hard enough. Navigating appointments, follow-ups, and uncertainty should not add to the burden.

Thank you, Kenneth, for the work you do and for trusting us to support you on the way back to the work you love.

Injured on the job? The system should not make it harder.

Marco Medrano, Firefighter at the Austin Fire Department, shared his experience with Ready Rebound:

“They worked directly with our workers’ comp team to prevent delays, and if something wasn’t right, they went the extra mile to make sure it was.”

That advocacy matters. Faster care. Less frustration. A better path back to duty.

Proud to support firefighters like Marco and the Austin Fire Department.
