MHA wants to acknowledge the deep grief, anger, and pain many in our communities are carrying following recent immigration enforcement shootings and the loss of life connected to ICE activity. These events have had a profound impact on immigrant communities, communities of color, and many of us personally—especially those with lived experience of trauma, displacement, or state violence.

On Thursday, January 30, a National Shutdown has been called as a collective act of protest, mourning, and solidarity. At MHA, we recognize that moments like this can bring up a wide range of emotions and responses, and we want to lead with care, respect, and compassion. For more information:

📣 Exciting update — Unmasked Space is expanding!

After listening to feedback from our community, we’re now offering:
• Unmasked Space for Teens (ages 13–19)
• Unmasked Space for Young Adults (ages 18–25ish)
• Plus Unmasked in the Wild social events that bring connection into the community (game nights, coffee meet ups, hikes, snowshoeing, museums, and more)

The Unmasked Space is a peer-based mental health support and community group for teens and young adults who identify as neurodivergent — or who are simply looking for a supportive space where they fit. It’s a low-pressure place to show up as you are, without needing to mask, perform, or explain yourself.

🧠💛 You don’t need a formal diagnosis to attend.
If you think you belong, you probably do.

There’s no registration required for Unmasked Space groups — just come when you can. For Unmasked in the Wild events, we prefer registration for planning purposes, but last-minute joiners are always welcome.

To help keep these spaces safe and comfortable, we ask that participants attend the groups and events intended for their age range. Participants who are 18 or 19 are welcome to attend either the teen or young adult groups and events — or both — depending on where they feel most comfortable.

📅 Check out the winter schedule in the image below. Whether you've been with us before or are looking to try something new, we invite you to attend!
