Yogalicia

Yogalicia Alicia has been practicing various forms of Hatha Yoga since 1999. Alicia integrates mindfulness, the singing bowl and aromatherapy into her classes.

Alicia focuses on safety and alignment through sharing her understanding and exploration of yoga through movement of body (asana), philosophy, anatomy, breath (pranayama), and strength and stability. She completed her Yoga teacher training at Kanyakumari Ayurveda Education & Retreat Center in 2007 and has attended numerous workshops, continuing education and ashram visits. She focuses on safety and alignment through sharing with her students her understanding and exploration of yoga and anatomy, breath awareness and practices (pranayama), strength and stability, as well as relaxation and the practice of letting go. She believes that when the body is aligned—then we are aligned through the mind and spirit. In addition to her Yoga Teacher Training, Alicia has degrees in both fine art and English and incorporates what she learned into her teaching style. She believes that yoga sequencing is an art and choosing the right words helps to clarify alignment, intention and awareness can effectively guide students through the practice. Alicia’s commitment to Yoga has been a life-changing experience; a lifestyle that allows her to better understand herself and the world we live in. Alicia Darrow, RYT (aka yogalicia) is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT)—200+ hours—with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS).
