Improving how people move through Milwaukee County Research Park is a key part of the vision for its future.

The goal is simple: make it easier and safer to walk and bike.

Plans include expanded sidewalks, improved crossings, and better-connected bike routes that link the park with nearby neighborhoods and surrounding amenities.

Small improvements like these can make a big difference in how people experience the Research Park every day.

Places and spaces that bring people together.

One of the core priorities identified in the joint Master Plan study between the City of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin Government, and Irgens is strengthening placemaking within Milwaukee County Research Park.

This means transforming underutilized areas into vibrant public gathering spaces designed for connection, activity, and year-round use.

Outdoor plazas. Flexible green space. Recreation. Thoughtful landscaping. Areas that invite employees, residents, and visitors to spend time here, not just pass through.
