It truly began in earnest and consistently in 2002 in Flagstaff AZ. I was looking for a way to find some balance in my life. After one of the first classes I took I had, I felt this overwhelming calm and contentment. I studied Ashtanga Yoga both privately with my teacher, in groups, and independently for a long time before I decided to take my practice to the next level. I first completed my massage therapy license out West and became national board-certified and State licensed. I wanted to reach out of my comfort zone and learn to be a better public speaker I began teaching in an art gallery and completing my 200-hour yoga certification in Viniyoga, Ashtanga, and Iyengar focusing on yoga for every -body. Years later, I added several 300-hour yoga courses for self-study and knowledge becoming a 500-hour yoga teacher. I continued to teach in groups and privates mostly teaching Vinyasa Yoga, breathwork, and meditation. I continue to deepen my practice through advanced studies in Yoga Trauma-informed, Mindfulness Coaching, Pranayama - breathwork, functional movement, bodywork, and therapeutic massage. I grew professionally as a Yoga teacher serving behavioral health - addiction recovery in a clinic setting. I am currently a yoga teacher in my studio, Janus Massage & Yoga. Serving private clients and group classes in Milwaukee, WI and online. Most recently, I am a breast cancer survivor and found that my practice has been of amazing value to my health and outlook. I am looking for ways to share this feel-good approach to life with other breast cancer survivors. Iām excited about the unfolding experience and grateful for all that brought me here. I look forward to connecting with you soon!
