Friends, this project is so much more than just throwing songs together on a playlist. It’s about connection, having a voice, perspective shifts, and actively listening to each other. One word (theme) can have so many different meanings or interpretations depending on where the listener is coming from.

🤘We’re here for community. During an active attempt to divide us further, we get to remember that we are greater together. Music is an effortless tool in that process.

🤘Choosing a song for the mixtape is free.

🤘Coming to the community music therapy gathering at the end of each month is donation based.

🤘You can do one… or the other… or both.

🤘There are no wrong choices. Your song selections remain anonymous unless you choose to share at the gathering. Your interpretation of the theme is correct.

February’s theme is IGNITE. Celebrating the arrival of the Fire Horse and the Lunar New Year. Celebrating all that we can ignite within us. Remembering our power.

Trust.

How is that word sitting with you right now?

There’s a lot, lot, lot, lot to sift through, process and feel right now.

What can you trust? Who? That’s not a hopeless ask, it’s a real one. The noise is loud but our hearts and knowing can be stronger.

This project is more than throwing a playlist together. It is a project of Connection. Viability. Resonance. Perspectives. Awareness. Individually and Collectively.

Is there a more simple way to regulate and connect than through music?

If you are seeking community, please join us Tuesday evening. You do not need to do more than simply register and show up. We’ll be at the Center at 8 Branches Chinese Medicine

✨ Sound, Sauna, and Soak ✨

I’m so excited to be back at Mother Lion Retreat to offer an evening of simple nurture on Sunday, February 22 from 4:30-10pm!

Come alone or with friends for a sweet winter respite that includes:

💫 A restorative sound bath using the rich, nurturing tones of metal singing bowls, gongs, monochord, and chimes with time for reflection and processing, if desired.

💫 Plenty of time to unwind in the sauna, hot tub, by the fireplace, or to cozy up in one of the many comfortable spots throughout the house

💫 Food to graze on and hot tea to sip

💫 The option for up to 4 registrants to add on a mini session sound massage or tuning fork tuneup (additional cost at registration)

💫 bring yoga mat, blanket (if desired), swimsuit, towel, and whatever else suits your downtime (book, journal, knitting, earbuds, etc)

Stay for the full time or leave when you’re ready. No obligations other than to give yourself permission to rest. ✨

Thank you to everyone who submitted songs to the December Community Mixtape. GRACE proved the point that everyone can interpret a word differently based on their own experiences and perspectives. A beautiful project - thank you 🙏

Join me on 1/11 at the Center at 8 Branches Chinese Medicine for a gentle afternoon post-holiday guided experience as we discover and reconnect with our own innate ability to regulate and receive through music, sound and vibration. Come as you are and relax with the restorative support of metal therapy-grade singing bowls, gongs, chimes, monochord, and more.

This 90 minute session will integrate the use of gentle recorded and live sound experiences along with some sound massage techniques - all designed to regulate and nurture the nervous system to help you reach a state of peace and relaxation.

All that is provided are simply offerings - you ultimately decide what feels right for you. No experience is necessary, and all techniques are designed to regulate and nurture the nervous system and help you reach a state of inner peace, clarity and relaxation.
