Kamitic Legacy is the business-arm of Ausar Auset Society International (AASI). For 53 years, AASI’s provided a community wherein black diasporans live and reconnect with their ancestral spiritual culture. AASI was founded in 1973, in Harlem, NYC, by Ra Un Nefer Amen. It began as free weekly classes to local people of New York and New Jersey, eventually spreading to DC, Philadelphia, Chicago, and is now established in 40 cities across the US, UK, Africa, and the Caribbean.

The class content included Meditation techniques, Yoga science and practice, Qabala, Veganism, Homeopathy, Chinese medical theory & herbs, Tai Chi & Qi Gong, African & Chinese oracle systems, and matters of nationhood; family, marriage, education and economics.

The society operated K-12 schools in New York and DC with high graduation rates and near nonexistent rates of student violence, crime or substance abuse. The schools were the result of people gathering together around an interdependent fervor for knowledge of self and self determination.
