Proud to spend time in Reno supporting the installation of the Liberty Dogs statue, an important civic project that honors service, sacrifice, and the extraordinary bond between working dogs and their handlers.

My sincere thanks to Janey, Geoff, and Paula Slater for their leadership, trust, and commitment to seeing this project through with care and purpose. Collaborative efforts like this are what make lasting civic memorials possible. Reno continues to impress! Not only for its welcoming people and strong community pride, but also for its setting. With the Sierra Nevada as a backdrop and the remarkable beauty of Lake Tahoe just beyond, it’s hard to imagine a more fitting region for a project that reflects strength, loyalty, and endurance.

Grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the Liberty Dogs Project and to be part of something that will stand for generations.

Our Story

Milwaukee Memorials dates back to the 1940’s when the Stotzer Family originally owned the business. Stotzer was a highly recognized and respected name in the Milwaukee area for many years. Carrying on the family owned tradition, the Latzke Family acquired the company and renamed it Milwaukee Memorials. Mr. Latzke ran the business with his sons Fred and Ron until Fred purchased the business from his father. In 1999, Milwaukee Memorials became an authorized Rock of Ages dealer.
