I am pretty sure two angels visited me today….

I had the most draining week and wasn’t sure I could fit it in when they asked to come for a healing, faith-focused retreat session. But I knew they really needed some downtime and I feel so blessed to be able to offer these opportunities, so we made it work.

As it turned out… I think God sent these women to me to help with my own decompression and healing. Talking through our reflection stations together truly felt like a much-needed, rejuvenating, POWERFUL GIFT from above.

I am in awe and so grateful.

One huge highlight that happened last month was Zoe‘s birthday party! It was our honor to get to host her party here.

Zoe is one of our favorite friends. She has always been such a natural with the horses. It’s been fun to watch her bond with our horses grow over the last five years!

Yet Spring also offers sneak peeks of Summer! And despite the mess and work, it’s so great in so many ways.

As my cousin and I were just discussing, “Everything comes down to how you frame it.”

So, I am choosing to focus on how the ups and downs, and the tough parts of Spring, are helping me build both mental and physical endurance and resilience.

We are all stronger than we realize.

(And if you need a boost, come get a hug from a - possibly muddy - horse!) 😂

How did the horses handle the hail storm tonight?

Just like us, they all have their personal preferences… once the hail started, most had no desire to be inside the barn… some wanted a roof over their heads… and some felt more comfortable out in the middle of it.

I love it that a friend called those three “the Dare Devils.” :)

What I love the most about our horse sessions is allowing people an opportunity to connect with these sensitive, intelligent animals.

And while this erratic and extreme weather makes the days more difficult for horse care and barn management, they also allow a different type of experience for powerful learning moments with horses. Extreme weather days offer a chance to feel - in a very tangible way - how much your presence and calm focus with the horses makes a difference.
