We are thrilled to announce that Capri Communities has made it through to the voting round in FOUR categories in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s 2026 Top Choice Awards! Our community is competing under our parent company, Capri Communities, as Capri has 18 fantastic senior living communities in the Greater Metro Milwaukee area. TIMELINE
• Now – June 22: Enter Your Sauce
• June 27: Initial Judging Round held at St. Rita Square. Top 3 finalists in both categories will be named to compete at Fest Italiana on July 11.
• July 11: Festa Italiana, MKE Best Sauce Competition at Aurora Pavilion on the Summerfest Grounds. $40 gift cards will be provided to finalists to offset ingredients.

In addition to bragging rights, the People’s Choice and Judges’ Choice Champions in each category will each take home the coveted Golden Ladle Trophy, along with a $200 cash prize!

There is something incredibly special about seeing one of our own resident’s work hanging on museum walls. We took a trip down to the Racine Art Museum to celebrate our Resident Artist, Cookie, whose creativity was on full display as part of the annual PEEPS® Brand Art Exhibition.
It’s safe to say we had a blast hanging out with all our favorite Peeps!

We kicked off our resident birthday party in a huge way this month which was in honor of Earth Month, our culinary team treated everyone to a fresh and flavorful spread — jackfruit sliders, kale chips, fruit medley, crisp salads, and of course… cake to top it all off.
And the fun didn’t stop there. Frogwater filled the room with music that had everyone tapping their feet, clapping along, and even getting up to dance. The energy was contagious and the laughter was nonstop.
Celebrating life, community, and the beauty of each new year — that’s what days like this are all about at St. Rita Square.

Our memory care residents had such a wonderful afternoon enjoying music therapy with Bridgetown Music Therapy 🎶 It was amazing to see so much joy, connection, and engagement through music. We can’t wait for our next session!

☀️Ollie brought pure sunshine to St. Rita Square today!

Our residents enjoyed every moment of his visit — from the cuddles to the smiles that lit up the room. It’s amazing how a little love and a wagging tail can brighten an entire day.

Life is all about these simple, joyful moments, and today reminded us just how special they are. Thank you, Ollie, for filling our community with so much happiness.
