Five minutes- put your timer on. Can you do it?

Research supports as little as 5 minutes/day with no input (not even calm music), no output (not talking, writing, etc), and no judgment of your thoughts or feelings during that time as a way of improving brain function and mood.
Before Instagram we knew how to wait in an elevator or in line or at a stop light without input or output and we can still do it but it takes conscious effort. And the no judgment part is key. Sit with your thoughts and feelings- it will be ok. 💕
(And this is different from lying quietly awake at 3am which is a whole other post 😊).
I’m going to try it in 2026.

We know it’s the holidays and everyone is in an in between liminal space. With the big storm coming, it’s a good time to do a few floor exercises. Try these out. Also, if you go out on the ice, walk like a penguin keeping your head over your feet slightly. See exercises in first link.

Folks the sidewalks are icy with snow cover. Lots of falls and potential falls are poosible. Please adopt and teach others PENGUN style walking. Your head needs to be slightly over your toes or feeling like you are slightly over. It keeps the center of gravity more stable on slick surfaces. Stay safe.
