Audrey's VCFS Fund This is a fund established through Children's Hospital of Wisconsin which provides support for children and families affected by VCFS/22Q.

Audrey's family took a trip to Vancouver this summer. 🍁Several highlights included seeing the mountains in Whistler and taking a gondola up the mountain to a suspension bridge 🌉that connnected Blackcomb and the Whistler Mountains. 🚞⛰️Audrey and her family were also able to enjoy biking at Stanley Park in Vancouver. 🚲 It was a great family trip! 👍

Audrey had 2 surgeries this past week. One was to close a perforation she had in her right ear that had been causing her trouble for many years. She won all the nurses and doctors over again with her outgoing personality and inquisitiveness. 🥰She is recovering now at home and hopefully can finish up her school year this week! Thanks for all your support and well wishes. 😊

This event was organized as an annual world-wide awareness day for 22Q.The Audrey Hohenwalter Endowment Fund was established in 2009 to help raise awareness locally as well as support families through educational events and support research efforts to better understand, diagnose, and treat people with the syndrome. There was over 100 people that attended at Milwaukee Public Zoo. The keynote speaker was Heidi Hamilton who is a representative of Journey 21. This is a new (local) organization whose mission is to "provide safe, supportive, and enriching living and learning options for adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD).🦍
