We do this by offering free educational, therapeutic, & social programming for individuals of all ages, & all abilities. GiGi's mission is to promote acceptance for all and change the way the Milwaukee community views Down syndrome, because individuals with Down syndrome are more like their peers than different. GiGi's Playhouse Milwaukee does all of this in a warm, supportive, welcoming family environment that is open for all to learn, socialize, and play.

🎉 Cheers to Becky Diamond on her 1-year anniversary at GiGi's Playhouse Milwaukee! 🎉

In just one year, Becky has helped us grow and stabilize our programs and volunteer base in meaningful, lasting ways. She has built strong connections with families, participants, businesses, and community partners—always leading with warmth, clarity, and care.

From coordinating all program scheduling to leading volunteer and program leader training and support, Becky keeps so many moving pieces aligned. This year, she's also launching volunteer event committees, helping us build leadership and sustainability for the future.

Becky is a fantastic coworker and an incredible force behind the scenes—truly helping take our Playhouse to the next level. We're so grateful for her leadership and can't wait to see what this next year brings! 💙✨

As we begin 2026, all of us at GiGi’s Playhouse want to say one thing first and foremost: thank you.​

Whether you participated in programs, volunteered your time, shared our mission, or followed along with the stories we shared at the end of the year, you are part of this community.​

GiGi’s Playhouse was created to change the way the world views a Down syndrome diagnosis and send a global message of acceptance for all.

We understand that many families are first time parents and they need us. Many young parents do not expect, or know in advance of their child’s diagnosis, and they need renewed hope and genuine acceptance from day one.

At GiGi’s Playhouse families are never alone. From a prenatal diagnosis to career skills, we make a lifetime commitment to remain by their side. Families are empowered with all the tools their child needs to succeed!
