I really wish I could capture just how pretty the placenta prints are in person. Here is another look at my most recent placenta art. Each new umbilical cord keepsake turns out to be my favorite! I can never not be amazed that our bodies create this disposable organ just to nourish and protect our babies! Honoring the placenta through art will never get old!

Y’all… this placenta was straight-up showing OFF.

I did the placenta print and an umbilical cord keepsake, and honestly? My whole doula heart did a little happy dance. There’s just something about seeing the “Tree of Life” literally right there in front of you — the organ that nourished a whole tiny human for months — turned into a piece of art this family will keep forever.

If you ever wondered whether something out there is listening and guiding you — listen to this story.

Whether you believe in God, spirit, or something else, none of us are truly alone. We can’t fully fathom what’s out there, but I can say this: I am being watched over. I am exactly where my soul was meant to be. All you have to do is stop and listen.

I just left my first prenatal with a teen mom. I always leave prenatal visits smiling, but today felt different — deeper, familiar, and so affirming. I’m on a natural high and so grateful. 💜

💚 26 inches of connection 💚

This umbilical cord was the longest I’ve ever worked with—26 inches of pure nourishment and life. Because of its length, I was able to create something extra special for this family: the word love, with the “o” shaped into a heart ❤️

It feels so fitting, since this cord is what carried love in its truest form—oxygen, nutrients, and life—between baby and mama. A reminder that even before birth, love is the very first bond we share. 💫

REAL TALK- Someone has to say it!!! 🤔
Not all babies come out cute. And that’s okay. 😂

This was the first photo my husband sent after I gave birth. No warning. Just “She’s here!” and boom — fresh out the womb lookin’ like a grumpy old man named Earl.

Now that little old man baby is 8 today! 💖
Sweet, sassy, and absolutely magical.

Happy birthday to my favorite glow-up of all time. 🥹

You don’t have to encapsulate your placenta to keep a little piece of that birth magic.

“Oh my goodness! I didn’t even realize you were taking these 😭 we will cherish these forever!! Can’t even look at all of them without getting emotional haha”

This right here? This is why I always keep my phone nearby during labor.

Because you are in the middle of doing something powerful, raw, sacred, and all-consuming—and sometimes you don’t get to see it the way I do.

You don’t always remember the way your partner held your hand, how strong you looked between contractions, the quiet moments, the strength, the surrender.

But I do.
And when it’s safe, and when it’s still, I snap those little memories so you can look back and feel it all again.

And by the way—peep that position 👀
Mama is supported, connected, and still able to labor in a way that feels good with an epidural in place.

Doula support is about more than birth plans and hip squeezes—sometimes it’s giving you back pieces of a moment you lived through with your whole soul.
