Hi friends! ⛄️ As we all know, our Ohio winters can really test our spirits. Weeks of gray skies, multiple snow days, and no desire to go outside in frigid temps can drain anyone.
A few gentle ideas that actually help when the sun won't cooperate:
❄️Chase light where you can! Sit by the window during the time the light hits your chair just right. Or move the rug your kids are playing on to catch the golden rays.
❄️Move a little every day. Walks wherever you can get them, stretching or yoga, or even bust a move in the kitchen or with your kiddos.
❄️Warm rituals. Hot shower or bath, hot tea, fun and cozy blankets are all something to look forward to.
❄️Stay connected to family and friends. Winter isolation hits harder than we expect. So call a friend and have a chat just to check in! A couple minutes of laughter can do a LOT for someone feeling down.
And remember, the winter blues aren't a mindset failure or weakness. It's a weather + biology thing! Be extra kind to yourself right now. Ohio will give us our sun back eventually. 🤗⛅️⛄️
