Did you know that Fireworks can reach up to 140 decibels, depending on how close you are to them? Hearing loss can occur at this level in less than 1 second.
It is important to protect your hearing when you are exposed to loud noise(s). Hearing protection is best when it is custom made, but you can also purchase disposable ear foam hearing protection and noise protection ear muffs. It is best to wear both, but at least one is better than no protection at all! You can purchase the foam hearing protection at places like drug stores. Noise protection ear muffs can be purchased on various websites and some sporting goods stores. Make sure you look for a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) rating of at least 30! Keep your ears healthy and Happy 4th of July, friends!! 💙🇺🇸♥️
