The Kiwanis Club and Key Club sponsored Community Egg Hunt at Mineral Point was a great success again this year despite the weather. A special thank you to all the donors who help made this happen. A big thanks to: High Street Sweets, Midway Bar, Red Rooster Cafe, Bergets Jewelers, Desirees Hair Salon, Blue Yonder Cafe, Trudy Miess, Cummins Emissions Solutions, 5 Point Liquor and Cheese, Chuck Fosler, Lynn Evans, and the Residents at Mineral Point Care Center for stuffing around 4000 eggs with candy.

Becky W. had a birthday on February 18th and her family brought in a cake and special meal for her big day! 🎂🎉🎈

Resident Jaci was a beautician and enjoyed styling CNA Denver's hair. Jaci always admires Denver's long hair and Denver loves having her hair styled, so it was a wonderful experience for both of them. Denver has been a CNA at our center for eight years, and does a wonderful job caring for our residents!

We've added Easter candy to our Amazon Wishlist for the upcoming Easter Egg Hunt - one of our residents' favorite traditions! It takes a LOT of candy to fill all of the eggs for this community event (our residents will be VERY busy!).

If you would like to help us make it extra sweet this year, donations are greatly appreciated (we would like to have the candy by March 9th).

Happy 98th birthday to Margaret Disrud, our oldest living resident at Mineral Point Health Services! What a joy to celebrate this special moment with her! 🎉♥

She was able to choose her lunch, a BLT and broccoli soup, from The Pointer Cafe. Her niece brought in a beautiful cake to share with residents and staff. 🍲🍞🎂

Margaret was married to Bob Disrud for 40 years. They made cheese at Wakefield Cheese Company for 25 years and lived there as well. She still owns the property. Margaret was considered "everyone's grandma" in the area by many children and they enjoyed going to see her. She let them sample cheese and even gave them candies. 🧀🍬
