We celebrated Polish American Month with cabbage rolls, potato pancakes, and kolaczki's for dessert. We also watched Armchair Travels about Poland that residents enjoyed. 🥞🥔🥗

Indigenous Peoples' Day celebrates and honors Indigenous American peoples and commemorates their histories and cultures. Our Dietary Department made fry bread and residents played Jeopardy to celebrate this important day.

We had hot apple cider and donuts and watched "Planet Earth," which talked about the migration of animals to celebrate the beginning of fall. 🍩🍎🍂

We celebrated the last day of our carnival with a pie contest! Congrats to our winners:

- First place: Tammy, housekeeping manager
- Second place: Tie between Denver, cook, and Coral, nurse
- Third place: Tracy, business office manager

Residents had no complaints, as they got to eat the leftovers! Special thanks to our local EMTs and Mineral Point Police Department for serving as our judges. 🥧

Thank you to volunteers Judy and Julia for dressing as clowns and playing games with our residents for the second day of fair week! They enjoyed funnels cakes, creamiscles, nachos, and homemade pico de gallo. More fair fun to come! 🤡🎪🎯

Yesterday, we kicked off the first day of our fair with games, decorations, good food, and lots of fun! 🌭🎪🎲

We had mini corn dogs and fried pickles for lunch, a visit from a local business, tea and ice cream, and snacks of fried Oreos prepared by our own chef, Tony. Staff and residents voted on the "Fairest of the Fair" and our winners were residents Todd and Becky, who get to wear their crowns all week! 👑
