THE STORY The inspiration for MAGGIE’s MEMORIALS & MEMORIES (MM&M)originated with the passing of my amazing wife of 50 years after a tough battle with ALS, commonly referred to as Lou Gehrig’s disease. I wanted to find a beautiful way to memorialize her, so I set out to create a unique and personalized way to keep some of her ashes with me. I shared my visions with a good friend of mine, John Comunale, a well-known metal artist in Akron, Ohio, and the plan and design for MM&M was crafted. These custom-made works of art are crafted from stainless steel, bronze, and brass. The memorial cradles two spheres, the larger one is brass with a plug on the end which I filled with some of Maggie’s remains. This brass sphere will tarnish in time but maintains its beauty. The smaller sphere is glass/crystal, and John suggested the crystal ball was to guide her spirit and I immediately agreed. These versatile sculptures can be used outdoors as a beautiful addition to your landscaping or indoors as a gorgeous focal point anywhere in your home.
