Meditation doesn’t HAVE to be just sitting in silence (though that IS the goal). It can include things to help keep your focus: breathing patterns or guided imagery to give the mind an anchor while you LEARN to be content with stillness.

Yoga = Meditation. Meditation = Yoga. Regardless of the forms they take, yoga and meditation are linked in the Indian traditions. Both are about stilling the mind. This, to (a) rebalance the overstimulating effects of our lives and (b) lead us to real inner peace.
