At Jardín Spanish Immersion Academy, we believe children learn best through positive relationships with caring and committed teachers, active, hands-on involvement, and meaningful learning experiences. Fine motor skills in preschool—especially hand-eye coordination—are essential for children’s overall development. This ability allows them to perform activities such as drawing, cutting, buttoning, and writing, strengthening not only their small muscles but also their concentration, independence, and confidence.

When children coordinate what they see with what they do using their hands, they are building the foundation for academic learning, especially reading and writing. In addition, these activities stimulate the brain, improve precision, and encourage creativity.
