Family Tree Clinic’s mission is to cultivate a healthy community through comprehensive sexual health care and education. Family Tree Clinic’s vision is to eliminate health disparities through innovative, personalized sexual health care and education for diverse needs. Located in Minneapolis, MN Family Tree Clinic has provided low-cost, patient driven health care and education services since 1971. In addition to our medical clinic, we provide comprehensive community education services and education services for the Deaf, DeafBlind and Hard of Hearing community.

Happy Educator Appreciation Week! Family Tree's Education and Engagement department is made up of eleven educators that are uniquely trained, specialized, and experienced to do just what they do. This open call, funded by Pivotal Ventures and managed by LeverforChange, recognized community-rooted care that meets people as they are. We are proud to be part of it.

This support brings stability in unpredictable times and helps protect the care our community counts on: sexual and reproductive healthcare, STI testing, health education, and gender-affirming care for trans and gender-expansive patients.

In collaboration with Quatrefoil Library, The Minnesota S*xual Health Hotline, and Family Tree Clinic, we are hosting Safer S*x Kit Assembly night on Friday, November 14 at 5pm - 7pm. This event will be held at Family Tree Clinic (1919 Nicollet Ave).

Feel free to come for any/all of the evening. We will provide light refreshments & great vibes. This is the third event in the We Take Care of Us: Q***r Resilience Event Series with Quatrefoil Library.

ACCESSIBILITY: Family Tree Clinic is located on the same block as the 2 and the 18 buses. There is a bike rack outside of our building. There is a parking lot right next to Family Tree Clinic with accessible parking spaces, as well as parking across Nicollet in the church parking lot. We provide masks inside of Family Tree Clinic. Our doors remain locked, and our Welcome Desk is staffed inside the door, and lets folks in via an intercom system. We have many spaces, both inside and out, where folks can take their masks off and be distanced from others.

This year Family Tree Clinic is raising funds to contribute to our We are Family Fund. The We Are Family Fund helps offset costs to those who are underinsured and uninsured to access our health care. We’ve never turned anyone away because they couldn’t afford care. This year, our goal of $50,0000 is part of our ongoing commitment to affordable care for everyone.

This week is Medical Assistant Appreciation Week! The Medical Assistants at Family Tree are integral to the flow of patient care, and show everyone in our building so much kindness. From rooming patients, collecting patient history and vitals, to doing blood draws & injections, their presence in the clinic is part of what makes Family Tree excellent. It's a busy, detail oriented job and our team does it with empathy, care, and precision.
