Seward Pharmacy is hiring a full time Pharmacy Technician. Pharmacy Technician is responsible for preparing medication under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You must be motivated and willing to learn multiple areas of fast-paced outpatient pharmacy. At Seward Pharmacy, you will be part of neighborhood pharmacy and will make a difference in the lives of the community we serve. We require a commitment to serve the community and quality care beyond medication refill.

Responsibilities:
Provide quality customer service.
Prepare, label, organize, and fill medications accurately and safely, as assigned and in accordance with all legal requirements and policies under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Process medication orders or prescriptions and maintain patient profiles accurately in the pharmacy system.
Enter patient information and medication orders into the electronic record and pharmacy system.
Conduct timely inventory tasks and reports.
Audit medication storage areas for proper storage of medications, dating and appropriate medication stock,
Assist in processing returns and outdated drugs for return credit.
Ensure correct inventory, delivery and maintenance of files related to controlled substances throughout the pharmacy,
Teach and mentor co-workers.
Answer appropriately incoming phone calls to various pharmacies, clinics, hospitals and doctor’s offices that do not require pharmacist attention.

Qualifications
Completion of an accredited ASHP/ACPE pharmacy technician training program or six months of pharmacy technician experience required.
Current registration by the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy, and if first registered on/after 1/1/2013, completion of MNBOP approved employer based or vocational/technical training program.
Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certification, or expectation to attain within 6 months of hire.
One year pharmacy technician experience preferred

As he hopped from one person to the next in the lobby of Seward Pharmacy, Usso tried to remain upbeat as he alternated speaking in Somali, Oromo and English, but the fatigue and strain from the last week was evident in his voice.
