Hello friends! We're ready for the revival of the Healing Our City Prayer Tent! Join us this evening from 5:00PM - 6:30PM, followed by Northside Culture's Photography Exhibit Opening Reception until 8:00PM.

In the midst of the collective trauma that the city of Minneapolis was experiencing during the summer of 2020, the Healing Our City Prayer Tent emerged as a place where people of all faiths and good will could come together in community to meditate and pray for the healing of our city. Over the course of 30 days in July, people from across the city and region gathered under the tent at the corner of West Broadway and Bryant Ave. N. where we collectively grieved our losses and prayed for a new future. Beautiful connections were made and new possibilities were born under the tent. It was here that northsider Ancinetta Caldwell was inspired to start her new organization Northside Culture. It is also where she met the Center for Leadership and Neighborhood Engagement's Kelly Chatman. Three years later, they are collaborating with photographer John Noltner, director of A Peace of My Mind, to produce a new photo exhibit entitled “Strength in the Midst of Struggle”.

In honor of this collaboration, we are reviving the physical prayer tent for the first time in three years. Join us in the garden of the Northside Artspace Lofts on August 8, prior to the opening reception of the photo exhibit.
