Please join us tomorrow at 8:00 AM CST in the Healing Our World virtual prayer tent as we pray for and with the Annunciation Catholic Community in Minneapolis. May they know they are not alone as they continue to grieve and heal from the heartbreaking tragedy that struck their church and school 18 days ago.

Our 25-minute contemplative gathering on Zoom includes a brief reflection, 7 minutes of silent prayer/meditation, and music. Tomorrow is our 9th and final day, with a reflection offered by former Minneapolis mayor R.T. Rybak, longtime friend and neighbor to the Annunciation community.

"In the face of chaos and division, we have shown up for one another... and we will get through this... together. We are all moving our feet in the direction of love for our children and for each other... and that is where we find God.

These children will be forever impacted by the events of August 27, and they will know and feel that what comes after the darkness is the light. They will know that God will meet them in times of challenge, which they will face... and in grief, which they will experience... and in pain, which they will surely know."

Thank you, Katie, for sharing such an extraordinary reflection this morning. Thank you for your meaningful words of hope. Thank you for being such a strong beacon for Weston and for Drew.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Friends, join us tomorrow in the Healing Our World virtual prayer tent as we pray for and with the Annunciation Catholic Church and School community. May they know they are not alone as they continue to grieve and heal from the devastating mass shooting that occurred 17 days ago. We gather at 8AM CST on Zoom for this 25-minute contemplative experience that begins with a reflection by a community member, followed by 7 minutes of silent prayer/meditation, and music. Tomorrow’s reflection will be offered by Katie Simpson, parent of Annunciation student Weston, whose brave and powerful words after the tragedy resonated around the world. On Monday morning, we will hear from R.T. Rybak, longtime friend and neighbor to the Annunciation community.

"[Among everyone], the work is not yet done for the helpers... we can see the helpers and we can be helpers."

We are grateful for chaplain Sarah Lindberg from Hennepin Healthcare to join us this morning and give this warm reflection. May we see and be the helpers for each other.

We have had such uplifting help from our reflection leaders these past six (6) days. To watch what selective recordings we have published from this past week, go to our YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/.

We invite you to share this with those in your communities who may benefit from this time together.

Please join us for the next three (3) days as we continue to meet under the virtual prayer ten with powerful reflection leaders in support of the Annunciation Catholic School and Church community.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

CALL FOR HELP FROM FRIENDS IN TWIN CITIES AREA: On Sunday, we launched the Healing Our World (formerly Healing Our City) virtual prayer tent to pray for and support the Annunciation Catholic School and Church community during this time of great suffering and grief. Participants of this growing online prayer community have shared that the experience has been deeply meaningful and healing.

We are working hard to get the word out so others can participate and benefit. We’ve created the attached poster for sharing via text, email, social media, or printing. We also have printed copies that need posting, especially near Annunciation Church and the surrounding neighborhood. If you can help today, please let us know—you can pick up posters at the St. Jane House (1403 Emerson Ave. N., Minneapolis), or we can bring them to you. Your help would be a HUGE assist.

If you share the poster digitally, please include this link for more information: https://tinyurl.com/prayersforannunciation There’s a QR code and embedded link on the poster, but not everyone may know how to use them.

Please join us "under the tent" in the coming days—all are welcome! You can also watch recordings of the first three days here: https://www.youtube.com/

THANK YOU for your support as we continue to hold our beloved friends and neighbors in our hearts and prayer.

As we regathered under our virtual prayer tent in support of the Annunciation Catholic Church and School community, this morning's stirring reflection by Healing Our World co-founder Don Samuels calls us within our change to change the world.

"Something deeper was happening here... and I wondered what it all meant. There was something going on. Deeper than the obvious. Neighbors and strangers in solemn, thoughful, and empathetic contemplation."
