At Arubah, we are grateful for the opportunity to journey alongside a community that continues to show up with strength, compassion, and resilience. Najma is a clinical intern at Arubah Emotional Health Services who is passionate about supporting individuals from underrepresented communities, particularly those impacted by stigma surrounding mental health and addiction.

Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys yoga, staying active through pickleball, prioritizing self-care, and spending time with friends and family.

Bisharo Hirsi is a dedicated mental health professional whose core therapeutic values are rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and a trauma-informed approach. She believes in integrating various therapeutic modalities to help individuals lead healthier, more fulfilling lives. Her passion for mental health stems from witnessing the impact of trauma within her own communities and how it often leads to destructive behaviors. This personal connection sparked her curiosity and drive to seek solutions and support those affected. She holds a degree in Clinical Social Work and is currently licensed as an LGSW. While she works with a diverse range of clients, she has a particular interest in supporting the Somali community, a population that has experienced significant trauma and faces unique mental health challenges. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys watching documentaries and movies, as well as reading in her free time. She loves to travel, despite her dislike for flying. Creativity is an important outlet for her, and she often spends her spare time writing poetry. She is dedicated to caring for her mother and comes from a large family, though her mother remains her primary focus.

We exist for those who are unseen, ignored, or turned away elsewhere—individuals burdened with barriers that make them feel forgotten. At Arubah, we are more than a mental health agency; we are a community and sanctuary where both clients and our dedicated therapists and staff can find healing, hope, and growth.
