Warm greetings to you as we update you regarding Lifelong Health Chiropractic. With the most bittersweet emotions, I want to share that my family and I have decided to move out of state (Texas, home of my in-laws and my husband’s new office after a promotion at Microsoft).

Thankfully, one of my dear friends, Dr. Sheena, who practices with a similar technique will be the new owner! Dr. Sheena is a wealth of knowledge in natural health, the paleo diet, and structure/design (she has a degree in architecture!). Dr. Yetter has also extensively studied pregnancy and pediatrics and uses the lightest touch possible to get the job done. In Dr. Sheena you will find a very intelligent and caring professional to keep you and your family well-adjusted.

I would love to personally introduce you to Dr. Sheena and say my goodbyes in-person at our HELLO/GOODBYE PARTY --- SATURDAY, AUG 7TH -- 11 AM - 2 PM

Join us for food, bounce house, fun games and more in the back parking lot here at the office. 1121 Jackson Street NE

Yours in good health,
Dr. Erin Anderson

Sincere check in - are you safe? Do you need help? Please message me if you have a need, want to talk, or if I can help in any way. We will get through this together, Minneapolis.

Signs and Symptoms of Text Neck include:
• Instant upper back or neck pain when using a handheld device.
• Nagging or sharp pain in the neck or shoulders at the end of the day.
• General shoulder pain and tightness.
• Intermittent or constant headache made worse when looking down or using the computer.
• Leads to posture problems and related health issues.

How to stand and text:
1. Stand tall and roll your shoulders back and down.
2. Place your left hand on your right rib cage. Place your right elbow on top of your left hand to support your right arm.
3. Use the right hand to view your phone and swipe with your thumb.
4. Switch sides often to avoid overuse/fatigue.
5. To type in this position, place your elbows on the bottom of ribs so you can hold the phone with both hands.

Desk work and texting:
1. Sit tall in your desk chair and place your elbows on your desk.
6. Hold your phone at eye level.
7. Keep your shoulders back and down.

Sitting and texting:
1. Move to the front of your chair or whatever you are sitting on and lean forward with a flat back. Place your elbows on top of your knees.
8. Hold your phone at eye level.
9. Keep your shoulders back and down.

Floor sitting and texting:
1. Push your butt up against a wall or headboard behind you. Bend your knees in front of you and place your elbows on top of your knees.
10. Hold your phone at eye level.
11. Keep your shoulders back and down.

Double tap if you just adjusted your posture!

We all handle chaos, stress and crisis in different ways. It’s so easy for people with underlying issues (financial, mental health, marital, neuro developmental, health, etc.) to be triggered and put over the edge right now. With all the judgment I’ve seen in posts and received personally through this crisis, I try to think of where everyone is and what stressors and issues are coloring their behavior, joke, or non-essential” activity or purchase.

Let’s all remember how extraordinarily gentle we need to be with ourselves and others. We are all doing what we can to get by.

I certainly haven’t been living solely in the “growth zone” throughout this quarantine, but I’m doing my best to dole out grace, smiles, and hope whenever I can.

How's your sleep these days? Terrible, we’ve been hearing all week!

Swipe to see sleep posture positions that are best, decent and the worst. Which are you?

Sleep tips:
● Find the mattress that is right for you. While a firm mattress is generally recommended, some people find that softer mattresses reduce their back pain. Your comfort is
important. (Pillow Top/Pad)
● Sleep with a pillow. Special pillows are available to help with postural problems resulting from a poor sleeping position.
● Avoid sleeping on your stomach.
● Sleeping on your side or back is more often helpful for back pain. If you sleep on your side, place a pillow between your legs. If you sleep on your back, keep a pillow under
your knees.

The COVID-19 pandemic presents an unprecedented challenge to our State and at this time we are following the Executive Order 20-01 that Governor Tim Walz laid out on March 12, 2020.

We may not see our "wellness" visits, but are allowed to keep the burden off of our ER's and Urgent Cares by seeing our patients with pressing neuromusculoskeletal conditions.

If you are experiencing intense pain that is keeping you from doing things you normally could do, reach out to us and we can schedule a time for you to come in. Call or email frontdesk@lifelonghealthchiropractic.com

Please reach out if you need support. ❤️
