“Cricketing” — Trauma is not only stored in the mind, but in the body and leaves invisible marks. The body has its own way of coping with high levels of stress. Many trauma survivors subconsciously rub their feet together when lying down. Scientists call this “cricketing.” It’s not random fidgeting — it’s a self-soothing mechanism built into the nervous system.

When someone experiences fear or stress, the body can get stuck in overdrive. Repeating small, rhythmic motions like rubbing the feet or rocking can help the nervous system calm down. It’s the body’s way of saying, ‘I’m safe now,’ even if the mind hasn’t fully caught up.

This shows just how intelligent and adaptive our bodies are. These subtle movements can help release tension and restore balance. Healing the brain-body isn’t always obvious. Simple, subconscious actions can be powerful tools for managing stress and reclaiming calm.

Paying attention to your body’s signals and supporting these natural responses can make a big difference in recovery and everyday well-being. The body truly knows how to help itself, even when the mind is still catching up.

It’s not EMDR, it’s QNRT — Quantum Neuro Reset Therapy.

QNRT Therapy is the gift that keeps giving by relieving and healing the brain-body connection of trauma and adverse experiences, which may be contributing to physical pain, feeling anxious, on edge, constant fight-or-flight, depressed, poor sleep, addictions and vices, or repetitive racing thoughts.

QNRT resets neural pathways to restore the limbic system, while gently healing your autonomic nervous system, to improve vagal tone and ultimately create lasting, positive changes. You’ll notice you’ll be able to emotionally and self-regulate in situations and with individuals, where it was previously challenging, as well as feeling overall less triggered or edgy.

If you’re an individual who’s tried other interventions for healing, but still feel you haven’t tapped into the root cause, here’s your chance to try QNRT – 4 reset sessions for $500 or 10 reset sessions for $1000. Special promotion pricing valid through Saturday 11/29/2025.

Packages are paid up front in full, however, start date may begin within 60 days from date of purchase. If you have HSA money left for the year, this is the perfect opportunity to use towards QNRT. Consider setting up a phone consultation to determine if QNRT is right for you.

Interoception is the sense of signals, which originate from the inside of our body, such as knowing when we’re hungry, feeling nervous in the stomach or feeling our hearts beating. Interocpetion if one of our important senses like vision, hearing, taste, and smell. Understanding interoception can also help us to recognize emotions in ourselves and others, improve physical and mental health and understand how particular sensations feel in our body.

Individual differences in interoception may be important for well-being. For example, research suggests that people who are anxious pay more attention to internal signals. Anxious people may also notice their hearts beating quickly in situations that others would not normally consider scary or worrying. A racing heartbeat might make them think there is something to be afraid of, causing a fight-flight or freeze response.

In contrast, people who feel depressed may struggle with interoceptive accuracy. For example, people with depression often eat more or less than usual, maybe because they find it hard to tell whether they are hungry or full. On the opposite spectrum, Interospective sensitivity means you feel everything more deeply, including stress, fear, intuition and even hunger cues. This sensitivity can lead to high levels of anxiety and react more strongly to external stimulation. This lead to internal stimulation and feeling our emotions more strongly.

Empathy is the ability to understand another person’s thoughts and feelings in a situation from their point of view, rather than your own. It requires us to approach a person with understanding, compassion and non-judgement – knowing there is much more going on ‘below the surface.’ The three parts of empathy:

Cognitive empathy is the ability to understand someone else’s perspective and what he/she might be thinking and feeling. We make an educated guess based on our own knowledge and past experiences; putting ourselves in their shoes.

Emotive empathy is feeling with someone as in “your pain is my heart.” It goes beyond the cognitive, and is feeling together with another person. We’re biologically wired with mirror neurons that fire when we experience an emotion and when we witness others experiencing that emotion. When we see someone being sad, our mirror neurons fire and allows us to experience the same sadness and to feel empathy. We don’t actually think it; we experience their sadness.

The third part of empathy is empathic action, which is the doing part of empathy. It goes beyond understanding other and sharing their feeling. It moves us to take action, to help, however we can. This can range from direct help to asking how you can help, to just sitting in silence with them and not “doing” anything.
