Hello, and thank you for choosing Eternal Beauty and Wellness Clinic. I’m Sasha, a nurse practitioner here at the clinic, and I’m going to review your filler aftercare so you know what to expect over the next two weeks.

Right after treatment, swelling, redness, tenderness, bruising, and some lumpiness are normal. The first few days can look dramatic, but most swelling improves quickly and full healing takes about two weeks. Use gentle ice packs for 10–15 minutes at a time during the first 24 hours.

You can use Arnica gel or tablets for bruising, Zyrtec for swelling, and Tylenol for soreness. For the first 24 hours avoid alcohol and blood thinners like ibuprofen, Aleve, or aspirin unless your prescribing provider requires them, since they can increase bruising.

For the first 48 hours, avoid strenuous exercise and heat—no intense workouts, saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs, or hot yoga—because heat and increased blood flow can worsen swelling and bruising, and sleep with your head elevated while avoiding sleeping on your face.

If you’re prepping for an event, schedule filler at least two weeks ahead. Most fillers last about nine to eighteen months, depending on the product and area treated, and maintenance sessions help keep results consistent.

For the next two weeks, avoid all facials, massage, or other skin treatments unless your provider specifically told you to massage an area. Also avoid pressure on the treated zones, like tight goggles or heavy eyewear, because pressure can shift filler while it’s still integrating.

You may apply makeup after about four hours, using gentle dabbing motions, then resume your normal skincare routine. Swelling can make the area look fuller at first, but your true result appears in one to two weeks.

Pain, pale or blue skin, coolness, numbness, tingling, mottling, or blistering requires urgent attention. These can appear right away or within 24 to 48 hours, so don’t wait if something feels wrong.

If you place a Q-Tip gently between your lips and notice a vertical line or separation right in the center, that’s what we call M-Shaped Lips. It’s actually very common! This shape happens when the tissue between the upper and lower lip lacks enough volume to meet smoothly, which can make the center look uneven or shadowed.

But here’s the good news:

With strategic, precise Hyaluronic Acid Lip Filler, we can soften that center indentation by adding tiny, controlled amounts of filler in key support points.
