If you couldn’t make it to Day on the Hill last week, don’t worry...there are still plenty of ways you can help advocate for Vail Communities and community-based mental health!
Your voice matters and has an impact. Here are a few ways to get involved:
1. Reach out to your legislators. Tell them what Vail has meant to you and how our programs have supported community mental health. To find your legislator, visit: https://gis.lcc.mn.gov/iMaps/districts/.
2. Share a personal story. Whether it’s through an email, letter, or legislative hearing, personal stories create lasting impacts on policymakers.
3. Attend Vail Communities’ upcoming History Theatre collaboration on Thursday, April 23rd. Titled “Still We Rise,” Clubhouse Members will share their stories about mental health recovery. RSVP for this free event here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/vail-communities-clubhouses-history-theatre-collaboration-tickets-1983637192240?aff=oddtdtcreator.
4. Support Vail Communities for Clubhouse Giving Day on May 1st. May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and every dollar directly supports individuals living with mental illness. For more information, visit: https://www.clubhousegivingday.org/organizations/vailcommunities.💙
