Modalities I offer:
SWEDISH: The foundation of all Western massage. Combines the staple strokes of effleurage, petrissage, friction, vibration, and tapotement to create a longevity in providing a fluid, full body massage. Normalization of Soft Tissue (NST): Used to determine the appropriate treatment of posture and pain. This modality addresses trigger point therapy, muscle energy techniques (MET), myofascial release, and cross fiber friction. ORTHOPEDIC: This modality assesses the ability to recognize and treat various disorders and spinal misalignment's such as Lordosis, Kyphosis, Scoliosis, Compartment Syndrome, nerve compression of upper and lower body, visceral manipulation and temporomandibular dysfunction (TMJ). SPORTS: This modality addresses the ability to recognize what muscles are affected by activity. the awareness of what muscles are stressed by what sport, what areas are subject to micro-trauma, the ability to analyze what muscles are injured by what movements, and injury prevention. PRENATAL: This modality addresses common psychological changes in pregnancy and gives benefits with massage in side-lying and semi-reclined position that are appropriate for each trimester of pregnancy.
