Children's Respiratory & Critical Care Specialists, P.A. Providing families with specialty care for respiratory illness and inpatient services for children with complex multi-system illness and trauma since 1988.

Our pediatric pulmonary doctors are board-certified pediatricians who have done three or more years of rigorous training in pulmonology and/or critical care to obtain certification in these specialized areas. We also offer two pediatric pulmonary nurse practitioners who have additional training and extensive experience working with children with respiratory illness. To best serve your child, they will have a primary pulmonary provider (either a doctor or nurse practitioner). This provider and their nurse will be available to you when your child comes to our office or if you need phone advice. If your child requires hospitalization, they may be cared for by another provider in our group who will consult with your primary pulmonary provider.Our registered nurses, clinical assistants, and office staff have special training in pediatric pulmonology and are dedicated to providing your child compassionate and effective care. Our Critical Care physicians provide round-the-clock comprehensive intensive care services for children of all ages. Our patients present with failure of one or more body organ systems and may have acute or chronic illnesses. Experienced, pediatric critical care board-certified physicians provide 24/7 in-house coverage at Children's Hospitals-Minneapolis and St. Paul, and Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare. We also provide consultations and critical care services for the pediatric trauma and pediatric critically ill patients at both North Memorial Medical Center and Regions Hospital.

Summer will be here before you know it! Are you looking for a fun and educational opportunity for your child to experience the outdoors and learn about their asthma? Camp Superkids is a traditional overnight camp through the YMCA at Camp Ihduhapi in Loretto, MN.

Registration is OPEN!! Dates are August 23rd-27th, 2026

If you are in need of financial assistance there are opportunities for scholarships through the YMCA and certain health insurance plans.

The Blemker family's children were diagnosed with a rare genetic condition called primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD). Through the expert care at Children's Minnesota, their family has found hope. In honor of their care, the Blemker family participated in the first PCD walk and raised funds to support Children's Minnesota's pediatric PCD center. We are thrilled to share that they raised over $18,000! Thank you to the entire Blemker family & friends for turning hope into action!💙
