Our specialities lie in energetic forms of healing through the use of ancient wisdom, like Reiki, and sacred tools like crystals and Quartz Singing Bowls. Sacred Space was formerly Johnson Street Yoga which was a locally-owned and operated wellness space committed to offering yoga to the community as a non-competitive, easy-to-understand tool of healing and growth. Sacred Space aims to carry on the mindful practices started by JSY and to bring in new ways to tap into your own magic.

“Mantra + Movement” w/ Kelly is a perfect way to unwind or reset. Kelly curates a unique sequence for every cycle of the Wheel of the Year to help intentionally support your entire being. Learn a bit about her practice for Samhain:

“Support yourself through the start of the dark season by connecting with the subtle forms of practice. This ritual will bring breath, seated movement and nidra together to create a connection with the subtle. The postures in this practice are meant to balance out some of the heady energy from the veil becoming thin during Samhain season. The mantra for this month is related to the goddess Dhūmāvatī in hindu tradition. Dhumavati is very similar to Cailleach in celtic tradition or the Crone in other traditions. The practice will end with a guided nidra to connect with your ancestors.”

The New Moon in Scorpio comes direct today, November 4th at 4:13 pm, and we have an opportunity like no other to step into our power and become more whole, with Sun and Moon opposing Uranus in Ta**us. Prepare to be split in half, so that you may become more whole. Uranus will hit you where you least expect it. Will it be the sting of the scorpion, the revelation of the Eagle (Scorpio's second symbol), or the re-birth of the Phoenix (Scorpio's highest frequency)? Choose your own adventure. 🦂

If you reject your dark side, be prepared to be swallowed up by it. 🖤

The next day, Venus enters Capricorn, where she will be for the next 4 months, an extended stay for the feminine archetype in the sign of power structures, accomplishment, and the father. Venus goes retrograde for six weeks on December 18, so we get to really savor the taste of this transit. Venus in Capricorn will likely see us begin to re-evaluate our sense of justice and how it is imposed by our authority structures. Look for a fight about mandates and dominant, authoritative measures which claim to know what is best. (“Father knows Best?”). The last time Venus went retrograde, George Floyd was murdered and we witnessed and participated in the largest worldwide display against patriarchal oppression in history. 🥀

Samhain (pronounced “saah-wen”) is days away and it marks the shift into the darker half of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. It’s a time when they say “the veil is thin” meaning our access to the realms of non-ordinary reality is more within reach. It’s a shift into a more introverted time for many of us, but it’s also a time when our curiosity and openness to the unknown and “taboo” becomes peaked. 💫

Implementing certain crystals this time of year—especially if you’re dabbling in any sort of energetic or spiritual work, can be extremely effective and important. The set of crystals I have selected share one primary quality: protection. The collection is dubbed “shadow crystals” and they are ones that will cocoon your aura as you traverse the expansive depths of your consciousness and the possibilities of your timelines, and the unseen corners of your psyche. Happy new moon in libra sweet souls! ✨🌚💓 (Photo found from )

The new moon in libra marks a pivotal point in this retrograde cycle. Here is a bit of insight from this months astrological report from Andy:

We’re going to have a lot on our plates by the time the Libra New Moon arrives on October 6th at 6:03am, and this will bring even more intense energy. Coming direct at 13° Libra, conjunct Mars, opposite Chiron in Aries, and every planet besides Mars and Venus will be retrograde.

Chiron here will be adding some important depth to Mars, and this new moon represents a new beginning for your passions and work. This may require a crisis to pass through, so go through it, fully, slowly, gently, and lovingly. Embrace every aspect of yourself. There’s no high road here, no low road. If you can fully own your shadows and your wounds you will come out the other side broken wide open. When your heart breaks, it does not shatter, it breaks wide open.
