MILLET! It’s a super-star grain! 🌟

Millet is one of the oldest cultivated grains in the world. It’s a versatile and nourishing grain acknowledged in both Chinese Medicine and Western culture as having a wide range of health-promoting properties.

I recommend millet porridge to many of my patients because it is easy to digest and has a soothing, anti-inflammatory effect on the digestive system.

A sweet patient of mine brought me these HOMEMADE mooncakes last week for the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival. They were filled with a salted duck yolk custard and they were as delicious as they were beautiful!

I’ve only ever eaten store-bought mooncakes, which are also delicious, but I found the homemade mooncakes to be lighter and less sweet, which I really liked!

It is said that the moon on the night of Mid-Autumn Festival is at its fullest and brightest on this day. The festival is a time for families to gather, and mooncakes are shared as a way to celebrate the occasion.

What a kind gesture and such a special treat!

I have two exciting updates to the clinic!

You’ll see a new look and layout at the Ying Spring Acupuncture office.

Previously, I was sharing the office with fellow acupuncturist and dear friend, Nicole, who is relocating out of state. I can’t wait for you to see the new space, and I hope you’ll feel as comfortable in it as you were before.

Also, I’ve added Tuesdays to the schedule for expanded flexibility in scheduling:

Sundays: closed
Mondays: closed
Tuesdays: 12 to 7pm (*New!*)
Wednesdays: 10 to 6pm
Thursdays: 12 to 7pm
Fridays: closed
Saturdays: 9 to 1pm

One thing I’ve noticed in practice
is how common it is for my female patients to apologize to me for not having shaved their legs.

This is important for you to know...
I likely haven’t shaved my legs either!

To all the ladies with hairy legs, you are welcome here just as you are, and your body won’t be judged!

There’s a new cafe across the street from my clinic! After your appointment, stop by and check out .mpls and enjoy a cup of tea, a tasty bakery item, or a savory dish. I enjoyed a chai and my partner enjoyed their Perfect Omelet. 😋

Currently, the cafe is open daily from 7am-3pm for their soft opening.
