What a day at the Guthrie!

We took 34 residents to see Cabaret! From parading down the 2nd Street sidewalk to marveling at the stunning production, it was a day filled with joy, laughter, and community.

Each quarter, we proudly feature new artwork on our Resident Art Wall and this season, we’re thrilled to showcase the stunning photography of our very own resident, Dar.

Dar shares:
"With the camera, I could observe everything around me more intently than I had ever imagined. A Diet Coke can become a thing of mystery. People in the rain glowed with light. I began taking deliberately bad photos... The darker the image appeared initially, the more entrancingly light-filled it could become in editing."

Last week marked a first in our community's history, and what a spellbinding afternoon it was! For the first time since opening in 2016, Abiitan welcomed a magician to our Abiitan stage.

Josh Farley- illusionist, storyteller, and risk-taker-brought us something truly out of the ordinary with his enchanting "Suitcase Show." Laughter, gasps, and wide-eyed wonder filled the room as residents and team members alike were swept into a world of magic, humor, and imagination.

We took a chance... and it paid off in spades. Thank you, Josh, for reminding us how joyful it is to marvel, to wonder, and to embrace a little of that “childish stupor” we should never fully grow out of.

Just a 5-minute stroll from our front door, the Mill City Farmers Market is a year-round favorite among our residents. We were thrilled to welcome them onsite for a special educational and tasting event bringing the farm fresh flavors of even closer to home!
