When little ones are sick, everyone just wants them to feel better fast and hugs are essential. In Tanzania, DCMC’s clinics and beds fill year-round with sick children needing cough syrup, nasal spray, and essential antibiotics for respiratory and gastrointestinal illnesses.

More than 70% of the 100,000+ patients/yr at Dodoma Christian Medical Center (DCMC) leave the hospital with at least one prescription, ranging from antibiotics and cough syrup to complex essentials for diabetes, hypertension and post-surgical care. In Tanzania, maintaining reliable stocks of all of these is both crucial and challenging and requires substantial resources.
