One year ago, DCMC’s eye clinic welcomed 8 medical volunteers from Minnesota for an incredible week of clinic work and community outreach. Their impact was so meaningful that we had to share these stories again this year!

In just two days of outreach, volunteers and DCMC staff provided vision screenings for 1,200 children and more than 200 adults. Many received new glasses, and those needing additional care were brought to the medical center. In the clinic, the team examined over 600 patients and performed 35+ surgeries.

Thank you to the dedicated volunteers and DCMC’s staff for making all this impactful work possible!

Shamba Darasa, or women’s garden, quickly became a reader favorite. Today, we're
happy to share that the garden's first crops of vegetables are bursting forth in the
warm sunshine of the New Year and many lives are blossoming alongside.

Thanks to your gifts – and a grant from the Cargill Foundation – this garden
program was launched at DCMC just months ago. Thank you for bringing
