Ahhhh, the family centered home visit! It’s one of our favorites. This particular visit stated on the front lawn amidst the veggie and herb garden, doula Sam pulled up on her bike and we then continued inside with a brief home tour, supply check and finished with some belly/baby ❤️ This job has some serious perks.

These final postpartum visits are ‘happysad’ it’s my word for that confusing feeling of being happy for a triumphant VBAC mother, a thriving baby and a smooth forth trimester BUT sad we won’t see this lovely nugget and his beautiful family…until the next baby😉

Is Home Birth for me?

Home birth....the birth tub is filled, the candles are lit, your partner and doula are by your side and your midwife is on her way to your home. Your labor has started and your baby is on her way. So, home birth isn’t always like that but most of the time it’s as sweet and as straight forward as birth can be. Call Trillium to start planning your very own home birth. Emme provides all prenatal care, including all necessary testing, is a constant labor companion through your birthing time and sticks around for six week postpartum ensuring that the transition to family of three or four or five is smooth and supported.
