I’m always trying to come up with smoothie recipes that feel fun, refreshing, and easy on the stomach, and this one is such a good one. It’s bright, tropical, a little spicy, and has that fresh citrusy kick that makes it feel extra good.

Golden Glow
• 2 cups frozen mango chunks
• 1/4 tsp ground turmeric
• 1 pinch ground black pepper
• 1 pinch cayenne
• 1 tbsp coconut oil
• 1/4 tsp lime zest
• 2 tsp lime juice
• 1 cup coconut water
• 1 scoop vanilla protein powder

And because I know not everyone’s gut is going to love all that mango, here’s a more Low FODMAP-friendly version too:

Low FODMAP Golden Glow recipe
• 1/2 cup frozen pineapple
• 1/2 cup ice
• 1/4 tsp ground turmeric
• 1 pinch ground black pepper
• 1 tiny pinch cayenne
• 1 tbsp coconut oil
• 1/4 tsp lime zest
• 2 tsp lime juice
• 1 cup lactose-free milk or plain almond milk
• 1 scoop Better Blends Vanilla Dream

I wanted to share both because that’s really the heart behind Better Blends. I know what it’s like to want something nourishing and delicious, but also have to think about whether your stomach is going to regret it later.
