Mental health conditions are the #1 complication of pregnancy in the U.S.

1 in 5 pregnant and postpartum mothers struggle with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.
These are common, nameable, and treatable conditions. Yet most mothers suffer alone. None of us can do the hard work of pregnancy and parenting on our own, particularly when we’re struggling with mental illness.

Join us on May 15 @ 4-6 pm for Honoring Mothers: Celebrating the Redleaf Center for Family Healing. All are welcome — kids too! — to celebrate mothers, take a tour, visit our Mother-Baby Day Hospital (Minnesota’s only perinatal-specific partial hospital program with only 7 in the country), and share food around the Redleaf Kitchen where we teach and practice healthy cooking and family meals that support whole-person/whole-family mental health!

At our Whittier Clinic, a unique group care model called Centering brings 6-10 pregnant patients with similar due dates together to receive prenatal care and education. Patients participate in individual health assessments, interactive learning and community building to support positive health behaviors and improve health outcomes. This group model has proven to lower risk of preterm birth, reduce low birth weight, and increase breastfeeding rates! This is one way we are changing the state of .

We’re proud of our Family Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Nurse-Midwifery, Redleaf Center for Family Healing, Mobile Health Program, Birth Center, and our On-call Doula Program, where birthing people in our community have access to patient-centered and safe care.
