St. Odelia is sponsoring a free presentation and discussion titled Unfinished Business: Understanding Racism’s Past to Shape a Better Future. It is next Monday June 16th from 5:30 – 7:30 at the Shoreview Community Room.
Guest speaker David Williard – Associate Professor of History at University of St. Thomas will speak about the legacy of racism and its systemic consequences on society today. Where have we been? Where are we now? Let’s talk about it! This will be an engaging, candid, non-judgmental, and non-political discussion

Join us for an inspiring day of discovery and connection on the traditional homelands of the Dakota people in New Brighton! Learn about the edible, medicinal, and material gifts of local plants through a guided plant walk, then dive into fun, hands-on activities like making salves, tea blends, and infused honey. Finish the experience with a delicious sampling of Indigenous bites prepared by Lakota Chef Luke Black Elk!
