Kids First. Every time.

I founded Socorro Consulting in 2017 after six years of working in schools and with families around the Twin Cities as an organization dedicated to ensuring access to quality, effective, culturally relevant mental health care and helping schools and families move toward equitable, evidence-based approaches to challenging behavior.

As the founder of Socorro Consulting, I believe that kids do well if they can, not because they want to. The work we do with schools, with families, and with children flows from this. Behind every challenging behavior is a problem to be solved and a skill to be learned, and I work closely with families and schools to help kids learn the skills for success.

I’m the only certified practitioner of Collaborative Problem Solving in the State of Minnesota, and travel to conferences, parent groups, retreats and teaching workshops carrying a simple message: where there’s a skill, there’s a way.
