The Minnesota Birth Center is the first freestanding birth center with locations in Minneapolis and St. At the Minnesota Birth Center, we treat childbirth as a normal and physiologic process. Our Certified Nurse-Midwives provide each patient and their families with the care, support, and education necessary to achieve a safe and satisfying childbirth experience. Minnesota Birth Center also offers preconception, well-woman, STI, and family planning care.

What is something fun or interesting about you? I’m almost done making my first quilt, I love to make elaborate dinners for my friends, and I will swim in almost any body of water.
What is your favorite tool for labor/birth support? My favorite tool for labor/birth support is finding something for the laboring person to push against, whether it be the tub, my shoulder, or the floor. Sometimes the incredible power of pushing needs a direction to start feeling productive!

WE ARE ACCEPTING LATE TRANSFERS! If you are due to give birth in 2025, did you know that it might not be too late to transfer your pregnancy and birth care to the Minnesota Birth Center? We offer long appointment times with our midwives, have individualized care, provide safe and peaceful birthing spaces, supportive staff, and have a very high WATERBIRTH rate (41% in 2024)! Reach out to us if you want to consider care at one of our two locations: Minneapolis clinic- 612-545-5311 or St. Paul clinic- 651-689-3988.
