Professor Keenan has long been at the forefront of scientific reasoning about behavior. His insights are well worth hearing.

In our previous post, a short bio of Professor Keenan, PEAT’s Founder, we received some negative comments regarding Applied Behaviour Analysis.
Professor Keenan has provided a detailed response. He starts this response by stating:
I read with dismay the negative comments about Applied Behaviour Analysis that appeared in response to your recent post. Throughout my professional career, these views have stymied attempts to educate our community about an alternative view of a science of behaviour. I can’t let these comments go unanswered for I know there are many parents in the community who directly benefited from the work of PEAT.
Professor Keenan continues by sharing an extract from his acceptance speech for the Honorary Doctorate bestowed upon him by Masaryk University in the Czech Republic. He presents this along with links to other readings to reassure parents who have been misled by the comments on the consequences of others who have harmed people in the name of Applied Behaviour Analysis.
Among these readings, Professor Keenan includes 18 parental accounts reflecting on how ABA has helped them and their families

Lastly, Professor Keenan asks,
If there are any former PEAT parents out there who would like to share their successes with ABA, please get in touch with PEAT and help them recover from the damaging effect COVID has had on the charity.
