Someone in a recent breathwork group shared about how important it was to feel and honor their grief. They didn’t want to breathe with the intention of getting rid of it - there was a recognition that this grief is here for a reason and they want to continue feeling it. This hit deeply and reminded me of why we hold space for this type of embodied practice.
✨This is about nervous system coherence.
Coherence doesn’t mean being calm all the time. It means having enough internal safety to respond rather than react, to stay connected to ourselves and each other even when things are hard. It’s the felt sense that we’re not alone in what we’re experiencing - that our bodies can find rhythm again.
Breathwork is a powerful way to support this process. Not because it “fixes” or “gets rid of” trauma, but because it gives the nervous system a direct message: you are here, you are supported, you are allowed to feel. Each intentional breath helps restore communication between the body and the brain.
And when we practice together, something even deeper happens.
Regulation is contagious. One person connecting with their breath and emotion can invite another to do the same. Over time, these moments of co-regulation ripple outward - strengthening not just individual resilience, but the resilience of the whole community.
This is why our practice matters right now. Not as an escape from the world, but as a way of meeting it with more capacity, more compassion, and more choice. Every time you breathe with awareness, you’re not only caring for yourself - you’re contributing to a wider field of steadiness and care.
Join us for our upcoming breathwork circle as we come together to connect deeper with ourselves and with one another. Link in bio to register or through this link: https://app.acuityscheduling.com/schedule/7069bff4
