The Art of Healing is a women-owned, trauma-informed, integrative therapy practice founded by Erin McKeen, LMFT, ATR. We specialize in culturally sensitive art therapy, play therapy, relational and trauma-informed care, and neurodivergent-affirming support for children, adolescents, adults, and families.

Our practice prioritizes depth of care, authenticity, creativity, and sustainable caseloads. We are intentionally non-corporate and collaborative, offering a supportive environment where clinicians can build an ideal practice that reflects their clinical passions and values.

Position Overview

We are seeking licensed clinicians who value autonomy, meaningful clinical work, and a supportive environment. This role is ideal for therapists who want flexibility in how they practice while still receiving consultation, referrals, and community support.

Qualifications

• Fully licensed in Minnesota (LMFT, LPCC, LICSW, or equivalent)

• Interest in or experience with culturally sensitive, holistic, trauma-informed care

• Alignment with neurodivergent-affirming and strengths-based approaches

Highly Valued (but not required):

• Art Therapy (ATR or expressive arts background)

• Play Therapy experience

• EMDR training or certification

• Somatic, Polyvagal, IFS, or integrative modalities

What We Offer

• 1099 contract position with competitive percentage splits designed to support a strong, sustainable income

• Autonomy to choose your clients, schedule, hours, and ideal caseload

• Freedom in how you practice and the populations you serve

• Steady referrals and marketing support

• Bi-weekly consultation and collaborative case support

• Supportive, non-corporate, therapist-centered environment

• Emphasis on sustainable caseloads and preventing burnout

• Beautiful, creative office space in Edina with optional hybrid/telehealth flexibility

• Opportunities to incorporate art therapy, play therapy, groups, and creative offerings

Our Clinical Culture

We deeply value:

• Culturally sensitive, trauma-informed care

• Creative and integrative approaches

• Therapist autonomy and clinical authenticity

• Collaboration over hierarchy

• Building a practice that allows clinicians to make a good living while maintaining balance and wellbeing

Ideal Fit

This position is ideal for a clinician who:

• Wants autonomy and flexibility in their practice

• Enjoys creative modalities such as art therapy or play therapy

• Is looking for a supportive environment rather than a high-volume model

• Values consultation, collaboration, and sustainable workload
